Both variants have a 6-speed automatic transmission powered by Isuzu's legendary 3-litre turbo diesel engine which Isuzu Good Bastards across New Zealand have come to love. This gives our MU-X SUV a 3,500 kg braked tow rating - towing your boat or trailer has never been easier.

With Isuzu's Intelligent Driver Assistance System (IDAS*) as standard, MU-X is safer than before. It's been awarded a 5-star ANCAP safety rating and both variants come with added luxuries like Adaptive Cruise Control, dual-zone climate air-conditioning, rear parking sensors, and a 9-inch touchscreen with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and 8 speakers.

This is Deborah. 

Her and her husband, Graham, live on a dry stock farm in South Canterbury. They have 7 kids, 8 dogs, a new generation D-Max and an all-new MU-X LS-T. In fact, this is Deborahs third MU-X. She loved her old one, but once she tried the all-new model, she was keen to upgrade.

As you can imagine, with 7 kids and a farm, she's pretty busy. Her MU-X is a bit of everything - it's the work truck, the school bus, the family car, the portable office, and everything else in between. It's towing 3500kg of hay up a gravel road one minute, and the next she's off to drop the kids at rugby, or cricket, or highland dancing. Quick stop at the store, make some calls while she's got cell reception, then back to the farm.
