Introducing the newest variant to our D-MAX family, the new X-Rider. She comes with unique body styling, including a sports bar, running boards, tonneau cover and dark grey highlights guaranteed to turn your neighbour's head. Under the hood? A gutsy 3-litre turbo diesel engine with all the grunt and towing power you need.
The X-Rider also brings a flash interior design with black headlining. But don't worry, with the amount of tech handy, she's more than just a pretty face. The tailgate assist is like having an extra pair of hands, and the 8" wide touchscreen is not far off having a new flatscreen in your car, offering satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. We also haven't lost sight of what's important, bringing a wider reversing camera to the table, making backing up to the woolshed or the boat ramp a piece of cake.
The Isuzu 2024 X-Rider - a bloody good ute for those who don't mind getting their hands dirty, but still appreciate a bit of comfort at the end of the day.
The EXTERIOR
2024 D-MAX brings a new look to all models across the D-Max range, with the new X-Rider taking elements of the our highest spec model, the X-Terrain, to create it's own unique styling. It still has all the external features you'd grow to expect from the D-MAX, along with a couple extra to keep things interesting.
X-Rider is equipped with a Black Sports Bar, redefined Front Grille and 18" Glossy Black Alloy Wheels. Plus, with the legendary Isuzu 3.0L turbo-diesel engine, 5-star ANCAP safety, 4x4 Terrain Command, wireless Apple CarPlay® & Android Auto™, the Isuzu D-MAX X-Rider is your ultimate travelling companion.
The Interior
Isuzu is all about inclusion of features that are intuitive to use, easy to reach and have driver convenience in mind always. The 2024 D-MAX is no different, thoughtfully designed to make the driver, and passengers life easier. It was also developed with Isuzu's "Hexa-Pod" concept in mind, a design philosophy that embodies being functional, relaxing and attractive. That doesn't sound too bad eh?
Design
When designing the interior of the D-MAX the engineers were given a directive to use an airplane cockpit as inspiration. This means that control ergonomics, occupant comfort, material quality & durability, and driver visibility are key priorities. The team at Isuzu Utes nailed the brief, once you jump in the 2024 D-MAX you will never want to leave.
Comfort
Sculpted sports seats featuring a foldable rear centre armrest. Wide front seat rails provide for large boots/feet to easily slip under the front seat for rear passengers. Entry and exit have been made easier thanks to large door openings. Double sealed doors and an excess of soundproofing make the D-MAX a peaceful and relaxing ride.
internal Storage
With 10 different positions for cups or bottles, the upper front console provides storage for tissues and has a 12v 120-watt power socket for added convenience. The upper center console storage, under steering wheel storage, deep door pockets, and seatback pockets provide storage solutions for those easily misplaced but much-needed items.

2024 D-MAX incorporates Isuzu's signature 3L turbo-diesel engine as standard. This stems from almost 90 years of experience producing diesel engines, beginning way back in 1936 when developing Japan's first air-cooled automotive diesel engine. Constant technological improvements, innovations and in-depth experience across the production of more than 26 million diesel engines means Isuzu is an established global leader in developing capable and efficient engines for all kinds of applications.
ISUZU 4JJ3 3.0L ENGINE
The advanced 3.0 litre turbo-diesel engine produces 140kW and an avalanche of torque on demand, with 450Nm available from just 1,600 through to 2,600rpm. This provides exceptional take-off and acceleration with a broad, flat torque band aiding overall drive-ability - also perfect for when carrying a load, or towing up to 3,500KG braked.
OFF ROAD PERFORMANCE
The D-MAX's legendary go-anywhere ability has been further improved providing you a ute that is as at home up in the backcountry hills as it is out on SH1. Wading depth has been increased to 800mm for those extra deep crossings, whilst 4x4 models now include a rear differential lock for improved traction on slippery surfaces. For on-road excursions, there is a range of new electronic driving aids to keep you on the straight and narrow.
3500KG TOWING ABILITY
Tow up to 3500kg*. Your search for the perfect travelling companion is over. Isuzu’s legendary 3-litre turbo diesel engine delivers high torque across the range, making light work of a caravan, boat, or trailer. Trailer Sway Control (TSC) assists with towing and will assist with towing in high winds or on uneven surfaces.

Terrain command
On top of a 6 speed transmission, the Terrain Command dial in the Isuzu D-MAX 4x4 allows you to shift between 2WD and 4WD Hi mode on the move (up to 100km/h) for improved traction when driving conditions change. The 4x4 variants now come with Rough Terrain Mode also, which works alongside the rear diff-lock to provide a new lease on traction.

The 2024 D-MAX brings an entire new level of technology to the range. The X-Rider includes a advanced 8.0" touchscreen multi-media system complete with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto phone mirroring capability allowing you to project maps, play music, make and receive calls and more. For the owner that spends plenty of time on the open road, X-Rider models also include adaptive cruise control which automatically adjusts your speed depending on the vehicle in front of you.
Safety

Careful attention to detail allows Isuzu to deliver higher levels of passive safety features. Safety features like multiple airbags, parking sensors, a reversing camera and automatic lights/wipers provide piece of mind under all situations.
AUTOMATIC LIGHTS & HIGH BEAM
Day or night? Rain or shine? The new D-MAX takes a few of the little inconveniences under its wing like automatic light control. including a light sensor that turns headlights on or off depending on the time of day and will control headlight beams if oncoming traffic is detected.
